Getting Started
Sherwood is a simple yet powerful static site generator for Markdown content. This guide will help you get up and running quickly.
Installation
Sherwood is written in Rust. To install, you'll need to have Rust installed on your system.
Prerequisites
- Rust 1.70+ (recommended)
- Cargo (comes with Rust)
Building from Source
git clone <repository-url>
cd sherwood
cargo build --release
Quick Start

Create a content directory:
mkdir content echo "# Welcome to My Site" > content/index.md -
Generate your site:
sherwood generate -
Start development server:
sherwood dev -
Open your browser: Navigate to
http://localhost:3000
Directory Structure
Sherwood expects a simple, intuitive directory structure:
